Rugby is hard. Rugby drills are confusing. Rugby drills that are explained to you in a foreign language should be illegal

A penalty shoot-out is some traumatic shit so don’t be surprised if you find yourself incapable of breathing normally and your vocabulary has minimized to ‘shit shit shit shit shit’

“Erin gets looked over in the discussion of world’s best goalkeeper. I don’t understand why,” said Canadian captain Christine Sinclair. “Today she proved if she’s not the best goalkeeper in the world, she should be in the discussion. She kept our team in it.”

I love, love, love what Erin does in goal.  She doesn’t play the kind of clinical, calculated game that Hope Solo does.  Hope is arguably the most tactically aware goalkeeper in women’s soccer.  But what’s beautiful about Erin McLeod’s keeping is that she doesn’t play like Hope.  She comes off her line.  She makes mistakes.  She comes alive in the air.  She’s a pleasure to watch in the box because of her lack of restraint, and her willingness to come out for the ball.  Now that’s not to say that Erin McLeod is not a tactically aware or smart keeper.  She is.  To be as good as she is, you have to be clinical.

But you can see it in Erin’s eyes.  She zeroes in on the ball and yearns to get a touch on it with the same fierce, passionate intensity as strikers.

i have the third best erection i’ve ever had in my life right now.

Excellent.

I loooove accents.

THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

I tell my friends here on the West Coast that not all Southern accents are the same and I can tell a bad faked one from the real thing or when Hollywood sticks a Texas accent on a character supposedly from Louisiana (it’s really grating for me). I couldn’t explain how I just knew the difference because I grew up with those accents — in family, friends, classmates, you just know the markers. But this explains what the differences are beautifully.
